DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The Indiana University Art Museum is located in south-central Indiana, less than five hours Center all within close proximity from Chicago, three hours from Cincinnati and Dayton, and one hour from Indianapolis. It is at the cultural crossroads of the university, at 1133 E. Seventh Street, with the IU Auditorium, the Lilly Library, and the Neal-Marshall Black Culture.

Three metered visitor spaces are reserved in the parking lot behind the museum, with others available in the library parking lot east of the museum. Automobile parking is also available within easy walking distance at the pay lots on Jordan Avenue (east of the museum) as well as at the Indiana Memorial Union. Bring your IMU parking ticket to the museum information desk for a discount validation.

Weekend Parking
Museum visitors can park without a permit on Saturdays at the Wells Library and Art Museum lots, and on Saturdays and Sundays in the parking garages on Jordan Avenue (across from the Musical Arts Center) and Fee Lane (behind the IU Kelley School of Business).

School Bus Parking
Bus drivers should enter Seventh Street from the west of campus and ask the attendant in the gatehouse for details regarding parking.

From the North

From I-465, take State Road 37 South to the first Bloomington exit (Walnut Street/College Avenue). Proceed 3.5 miles to the second stoplight. Turn left onto State Road 45/46 and drive .7 mile to the second stoplight (Fee Lane; Indiana State Police Post is on the right). Turn right onto Fee Lane and continue to Tenth Street. Turn left onto Tenth Street and continue until you reach the first stoplight ( Jordan Avenue). Turn right onto Jordan Avenue. Continue on Jordan past the first stop sign. Pass the Office of Admissions on the left. e Jordan Avenue parking garage will be on the left, shortly after you pass the Office of Admissions and start through the traffic circle.

From the West and Southwest

Take State Road 45 or 48 to State Road 37 and continue heading north. Take the Bloomington exit for 45 North/46 East. Continue straight off the ramp to the fourth stoplight (Fee Lane; Indiana State Police Post is on the right). Turn right onto Fee Lane and continue to Tenth Street. Turn left onto Tenth Street and continue until you reach the first stoplight ( Jordan Avenue). Turn right onto Jordan Avenue. Continue on Jordan past the first stop sign. Pass the Office of Admissions on the left. e Jordan Avenue parking garage will be on the left, shortly after you pass the Office of Admissions and start through the traffic circle.

From the Northwest

Follow State Road 46 into Bloomington. Cross over State Road 37 and continue to the fourth stoplight (Fee Lane; Indiana State Police Post is on the right). From the South

From the East on State Road 46

State Road 46 becomes East ird Street. Continue on ird Street, past College Mall, and turn right onto Jordan Avenue. e Jordan Avenue parking garage will be on your right as you start through the traffic circle.
