About Kyrsten Boesch
Kyrsten was born in Colorado Springs CO, in a military family and moved around the country over five times before settling in LasVegas in 1999.
Artist Statment: I started my adult life as a "practical planner" arriving at my university with a set career path in business management and was miserable for years; until I discovered a way to problem solve through art. I did not believe art was an achievable career path for me but at a certain point I couldn't keep my sketch book to myself anymore; what I was creating had to break free. Barbara Sher said "When you play it too safe, you’re taking the biggest risk of your life. Time is the only wealth we’re given." I didn't want to waste my wealth doing what I assumed the world would accept.
At that point I changed my major to graphic design and my whole world lit up. I am now able to create beautiful designs and bring client concepts to life through my artistic vision and collaboration. I wake up everyday with the motivation to create and improve the world with design in everything I see. My art is realized through many different branches of design including print design, package design, branding, and illustration.
As a graphic designer it is part of my job to be flexible to fit my clients needs and desires. I take special care to provide creative solutions for my clients' problems and achieve any aspirations for design that they may have. This past year I was able to work with a client personally and discuss her idea's and desires to brand her newly developed company. This collaboration allowed me to bring her ideas to life and help her form a clear and beautiful identity for her customers.
The most important lesson I have learned as an artist in graphic design can be summed up in the words of Fernando Flores, "You have to be able to risk your identity for a bigger future than the present you are living."
